Ian gained international business experience as a senior executive with DIGITAL Equipment Corp. and IBM, and as an independent business owner. He has demonstrated his ability as the CEO of WCG to start and grow a multi-million dollar company in a very competitive market.

Supporting the Community
Ian's involvement in the local community is extensive. He is Governor of The BC Chamber of Commerce, Past President of the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce, Past Director and Member of the Board of Tourism Victoria, Former Director of the Victoria Harbour Authority, Regional Director of the Canadian Forces Liaison Council, and mentor and advisor to the University of Victoria Faculty of Business. Ian is also founding Co-Chair of the Vancouver Island Advanced Technology Centre and the Greater Victoria Film Council, and Past President of the Canadian Information Processing Society.
Ian is a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International and was recently named a Fellow of The BC Chamber of Commerce at this year's AGM in honour of his exemplary service and contributions.
